The Great Hack
Data exploitation is one of tech’s most feared flaws and The Great Hack, a documentary that explores this frightening scenario, spans personal accounts and perspectives on the massive Cambridge Analytica/Facebook data scandal that took place last year. This compelling documentary is coming to Netflix and select theaters on July 24.
Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
A powerful horned fairy and a princess engage in a major showdown in Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The film, which stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, follows the complex relationship between a major villain and Princess Aurora and their power struggle to take over a kingdom. Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil hits theaters on Oct. 18.
Light as a Feather
The deadly game is back in Light as a Feather, Hulu’s creepy series that sends a group of friends into a dangerous match against supernatural forces. Light as a Feather Season 2 hits Hulu on July 26.
Twenty-one years after an amazing box office run, Disney’s Mulan is coming back to the big screen, and this time, it will be a live-action remake of the animated film. The movie, which follows the fierce warrior’s journey to save China from enemies, will premiere in theaters on March 27, 2020.
Extraterrestrials are here to snap up our planet in Another Life, a Netflix sci-fi series that follows the aftermath of a strange alien artifact landing on Earth and an intergalactic mission that tries to stop its powerful hold on humanity. Another Life Season 1 will debut on Netflix July 25.
You might remember Judy Garland as Dorthy in The Wizard of Oz, however, not much is known about the last years of her life. Judy, a film focused on the actress’ post-cinema career, stars Renée Zellweger as the struggling starlet who has to go to London and steal audiences with her voice. Judy hits theaters Sept. 27.
Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac
History has had warriors called knights, and now, a group of modern-day guys have to step up and save the world in Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac. This anime series, which follows the young heroes as they devote their lives to protecting Goddess Athena and humans, is coming to Netflix on July 19.
Seven-year-old Chloe and her dad are hiding from the outside in FREAKS, a sci-fi thriller that takes place in a post-apocalyptic society where certain humans are feared by the public. Chloe, who’s done hiding, wants to escape her dangerous situation, which could put her life in danger. FREAKS hits theaters on Aug. 23.
