Now, Microsoft has announced that Windows Insider team is going to release an internal Windows 10 build to Windows Insiders. This new Windows 10 build 18947 brings a new Start Menu design without Live Tiles.

According to a report, the Start Menu design may not be final, but one thing is clearly indicating that Live Tiles may soon disappear on Windows 10 Start Menu. It’s almost confirmed that Live Tiles are no longer be present in the next version of Windows 10. No more automatically updating tiles with information about your email, the weather, or news stories.

According to a report, there is also included a GIF search system in the next Windows 10 version.

Microsoft is clearly testing it, and there are no guarantees that this new Start menu will ever make it out of development.

The company said,

We actively test and validate each of our preview builds internally before sharing them externally, however, a configuration change allowed this build to release to multiple rings simultaneously, including external rings. We have made the necessary remediation in our Flighting service and have implemented additional changes to help prevent from this happening in the future.

The new Start menu is very early, and its UI isn’t finished, the team is still working on it. For now, it’s not clear whether Microsoft intends to ship this new Start menu experience on Windows 10 desktop or stay with current UI design. But, it’s believed that this new Start menu is designed for Windows Lite. We’ll just have to wait and see.
